Standard Referrals are coming December 1, 2023

New FPC announcement...

As we have shared previously, Standard Referrals are for customers in need of deployment or adoption assistance who do not qualify for, or have already received, FastTrack assistance. FastTrack Partner Community members will be expected to meet with the customer, understand their needs and propose paid services.

Standard Referrals will be sent to partners starting December 1, 2023. We are starting conservatively and will be scaling up volumes in Q3 and beyond.

The referral process is the same for both Benefit and Standard Referrals, though the language will be slightly different. Partners can expect to receive a Referral Assignment Notification and to accept the referral in FCU (Partner Center). The Partner Assignment Notification will then be sent to the customer, partner and all involved parties. Partners may differentiate Referrals in FCU using the Referral Source column. Standard Referrals will be marked as “Non-Benefit – Field” or “Non-Benefit – Campaign”.

Standard Referral requests will be submitted by the Microsoft field via the same channel as FastTrack Benefit Requests for Assistance. As part of this change, the FastTrack Request for Assistance form will be moving from the FastTrack Portal to Setup.Microsoft.com. Partners will no longer be able to submit RFAs.

If you are working with a customer, please continue to engage with them. There is no need to submit an RFA to continue your engagement or initiate a new engagement with a customer. The intent of the referral program is to introduce a partner when there is an unmet customer need. Reminder: Complete your Referral Profile in the Community Portal. If Language and Seat Size are not completed, a partner will not receive referrals.
