New features are now available in the
FastTrack Centered UX (FCU). Rate per Unit and Max Compensable Units are provided as a reference from the
Rate Card for Modern Work & Security Usage Incentive, and Opportunity Units and Potential Earnings provide estimates from usage data.
FCU data definitions:
- Monthly Active Users (MAU): The number of unique users who have taken an intentional action in the last 28 days.
- Paid Available Units (PAU): The measure of paid licenses on a tenant - Microsoft has recognized revenue for those licenses
- Usage %: The ratio of monthly active users divided by paid available units
- Prior high-water mark (HWM): The highest all-time monthly active users
- Starting high-water mark (HWM): The highest all-time monthly active users before the partner association date
- Opportunity Units: The number of unearned eligible units as defined by the rate card. (Generally, the difference between PAU and prior HWM.)
- Rate per Unit: The per user incentive value provided from the Rate Card
- Max Compensable Unit: Calculated by dividing the Rate Card's maximum incentive earning opportunity by its rate per compensable unit
- Potential Earnings: Calculated by multiplying a workload's opportunity units by the rate per unit.
Conditions to earn incentives:
- A minimum HWM of 300 MAU is required for earnings to be released.
- The volume of compensable units cannot exceed total paid available units (PAU) by tenant and workload.
- No incentives will be paid that are greater than PAU.
- Maximum incentive opportunity is per partner, tenant ID, and workload.
Please see pages 63-70 of the Commerce Incentives Guide for these definitions and for more information regarding the Modern Work and Security Usage Incentive.
Example:
The Opportunity Units for a Tenant’s Entra ID, when Prior HWM is 320 and PAU is 500, would be 180 units. The Potential Earnings for this example, where the Rate per Unit is $3, would be $540.
Please note, the Potential Earnings feature provides an estimate only and is provided as is. Microsoft makes no representations regarding estimations accuracy or otherwise. Data used to calculate estimations is subject to change. These estimations should not be used for financial forecasting.
