In this article: Ideas Forum - Share ideas and offer support


 

The Ideas Forum is an open space for partners to share ideas and offer support for other partner ideas. We welcome suggestions to enhance existing program documentation and tools, new resources and features, or deployment experiences with Microsoft products.

Vague ideas are hard to act on, please provide as much detail as possible, especially links or screenshots of what issue your idea seeks to address.

Important! Before submitting a new idea, in the What are you looking for? tool, search for the topic you have an idea for to see if it has already been submitted. Use the navigation tools at the bottom of the page to scroll through all suggestions.

Example: You wish to submit an idea regarding reporting, type Reporting into Search tool. All blogs, Idea suggestions, and knowledge articles that refer to Reporting will be displayed.

Browse and Submit Ideas

Review the articles, listed in the left navigation, Status or Forum categories. Existing articles are displayed on the page.

If the idea that you wish to suggest is found, click on the upvote button. This notifies the team that an additional partner has the same or similar idea and helps inform where there are gaps in resources.

Partners can use the Status, Forum, and Program navigation tools to refine search or to read other suggestions.

Submit New Idea

In the generated form, Submit an Idea. The following information is requested:

  1. Idea Forum: Use the dropdown menu to select a topic.
  2. Title: Input a descriptive title.
  3. Program (optional): While this is optional, the more specific the information provided, the better your idea can be evaluated and/or targeted.
  4. Subject: Input as much detail as possible into this section about your idea. What impact would this have on your business? What would be the outcome of your idea? You can use the text editor to emphasize and organize your concept. You may also attach links and images if you wish to provide an example.

When you are certain that you are ready to submit your suggestion or feedback, please click the Submit button.

Note: Once you have submitted your idea it cannot be edited.

    My Ideas

    To see the status of your submitted idea, select the My Ideas tab. The status appears next to the Idea Forum category selected in the auto-generated form.

     

    My Ideas on the Public Profile page 

     

    On the Ideas/Browse and Submit page, the new idea will be displayed. When the title of the new idea is selected, partners may select the Vote button to upvote a request.
